1. Can I have my own domain name?
Not at the moment. Currently, we only offer the subdomains we supply.
2. Can I upload my files over FTP?
Yes, you may upload your files via either FTP or the file manager.
The FTP server is:
ftp://username.theanswerman.org
where username is your username.theanswerman.org.
3. Why can't I upload my files?
You can only upload a file that is less than 100 KB.
4. Can I signup for more than one account?
Yes. However, you are limited to 1 account per email address.
5. Do you offer PHP/MySql/cPanel?
We are still considering this. However, allowing PHP/MySQL opens up a myriad
of opportunties for hackers to exploit our system.
6. I did not receive my confirmation letter. What
do I do?
You can drop a meesage for us on the forums, or you can attempt to create
another account. Occassionally we will perform optimization tasks on the
server and these may temporarily prevent confirmation emails from being
sent.
7. Help! I'm new, how do I do ______ ?
Feel free to drop by our forums for any help related to your sites
(including HTML, Photoshop, Site promotion, etc.).
8. What is Bandwidth?
Bandwidth is consumed each time one of your web pages is viewed by yourself
or a visitor of your site, the size of the file that is (viewed, played,
listened to, etc...) is added up in Kb or Mb depending on the sizes of your
files that are being accessed. This amount of space is then deducted from
your monthly bandwidth. Try to avoid large files that may load automatically
on your pages. Doing so will help save bandwidth.
9. How much bandwidth do you offer?
We offer Unmetered now.
10. Can I upload ______ to my site?
We are strong believers in the freedom of speech and expression.
However, there are certain limitations. Sites with offensive, adult, and
illegal content are prohibited from our service.
